"Somewhere Over the Rainbow" - 2010 Regional
The 2009/2010 EW Regional Awards show and banquet was hosted by CoonTICA and held at the Royal Masonic School for Girls, Rickmansworth in Hertfordshire on Saturday 28th August and Sunday 29th August 2010.
As our first Regional, it was a very special occasion in a superb setting. We were also delighted and honoured that TICA’s President, Vickie Fisher, attended the banquet and judged at the show.
The banquet started with a Champagne Reception, accompanied by live music from the Thames String Quartet - which followed on through the meal.
waiting the diners was a magnificent collection of favours - small gifts from owners of the various Regional Winners - with goodies for both humans and their cats.

After a superb three course dinner followed by coffee it was time for the presentation of the Regional Winners. Our judges assisted by handing out awards (ably shepherded by Ros Wood) whilst our Regional Director, Martin Wood, acted as announcer.
After honouring the RWs and the latest holders of Lifetime Achievement Awards, it was time for the Ultimate TICA Raffle. Even the fantastic floral centrepieces were raffled off ! Everything finished in good time for the coach back to the show hotel.
The show was advertised locally - and received a very positive write-up after the event.
